Corporate Philosophy: The ideal technology driven solution - a solution that a client would recommend to another -should be able to provide a return on investment that competes with all the investment opportunities available to a prospective client. This necessitates a business model based on cross-functional product and technology expertise that understands the clientís business processes, and then innovates and delivers a 'best fit' solution.


Background: In 2001, the Apeejay Stya Group initiated feasibility studies for the implementation of enterprise applications for a number of its businesses. It found that several applications were unavailable in the market and that many others failed to provide adequate returns on
investment (ROI) - an apprehension now well articulated globally. The Group realized that the development of these solutions would lead to a considerable market and further that there existed three clear strategic opportunities that eventually led to Bersoft's mandate:


Commiting to Emerging Markets that have generally low penetration levels for software applications with low interest levels among both major international and domestic players who are focused on developed markets.

Addition of Intellectual Capital to a World Class Technical Services Base available in the country through strong product skills facilitating state-of-the art customer focused products, built cost effectively.

Leverage of Domain Knowledge from the Group’s investments, geographical presence and long cultivated relationships, towards sourcing seed intellectual capital for products and in building cross-functional skills towards successful partnering with clients and successful product ventures.
